"An Eye for the Sound"

This extensive collection of music pictures was started in 1976.  As well as many of the great names in jazz and blues the photo archive features African, Soul, R&B, Latin, Rock and World Music, Festival venues and audiences. Generic images of dancers, carnivals and musical instruments will also be featured. Updating and uploading of images is ongoing.

The following list is alphabetical by surname, group name or category (e.g. Festival).  Click on highlighted names to display images or, for quick access to specific artists, click on their surname initial. The archive contains original photographs of all musicians listed. If a musician's name is not highlighted email your request in the CONTACT section to view an available image.
